As you can see at the image attached, I have and need to make an update for the Citybook Add-ons. However, every time I do the update, it changes my site, the search bar at the main home page disappears together with other stuff, meaning that the whole main page changes and doesn’t look good, as if it has bugs.
My site now looks okay, as I had to restore a backup (twice I had to do it after updating the Citybook Adds-on)
Why is that and how it can be solved?

1 – You don’t need install and update CityBook Import Add-On plugin. So I recommend delete the plugin
2 – Update CityBook Add-Ons plugin to version 220.127.116.11
–> Import demo listing type
–> Setup default listing type to get header/hero search forms from

Hi it happened again!
I read the article you shared with me and activated the plugin, now my site looks like the images attached.
Why is that and how I can take care of it ASAP?
ThanksMay 4, 2019 at 6:46 pm #32321
1 – Deactive your cache plugin
2 – import demo listing type posts.
3 – Setup default listing type from Settings -> CityBook Add-Ons -> Submit tab
4 – You may need edit listing type posts -> browser all setting tabs then click to Save Changes buttonMay 7, 2019 at 12:11 am #32355
I am trying to do what you write, but my site is crashing over and over again, including at this moment it looks like the image attached as I did what you wrote!
Also, on the Settings, I don’t even have the CityBook Add-ons option. This is really inconvenient, is there a way you can make this update for me without making the site crash?
I would appreciate your help ASAPMay 7, 2019 at 1:01 am #32357May 13, 2019 at 3:17 pm #32516May 13, 2019 at 3:24 pm #32521

Can I update theme/plugin to latest version?May 13, 2019 at 3:45 pm #32530
If you can do it without breaking my site that would be great 🙂
If it will break, I will upload the last backup from last night.
Thank you for your help!May 13, 2019 at 4:00 pm #32533
Hello, the theme is updated. You can delete browser cache then check it.
Tell me what’s wrong to fix and make it as previous version.May 13, 2019 at 4:29 pm #32542May 13, 2019 at 4:36 pm #32547
You can create your own widget element to apply modified:
Or override theme booking widget with yours.
But if you don’t like override template, you have to restore site to using older version.May 13, 2019 at 4:40 pm #32548May 13, 2019 at 4:57 pm #32554
so you have to use older versions of theme/plugin:
Download it from envato then using ftp/cPanel to replace newer theme/plugin folder with older one.May 13, 2019 at 11:45 pm #32561May 14, 2019 at 3:47 pm #32573
Read this tutorial:
Folders you need to replace are \public_html/wp-content/themes/citybook/ and \public_html/wp-content/plugins/citybook-add-ons/May 19, 2019 at 7:39 pm #32674
I did what you said and uploaded the files to my cPanel and it doesn’t work. I truly need your help, since the last theme updateת my site is not working, my users can’t add new listings and neither do I from the backend. This is causing me a lot of troubles.
How can you help me ASAP?May 20, 2019 at 11:36 am #32685
I can use your cpanel to update our older version of theme/plugin so send me the cpanel or ftp accounts.
Notice that: Modified code from theme/plugin will be override. So if you have backup your site, I recommend restore it.

Also, the bugs are still there as the search bar looks bad including the listing carousel. Can you help me solve it? I no longer know what to do to make my site work 🙁

Hi good morning,
Thank you for all of your help it is much appreciated!
I have another problem that I see is not fixed. Users can’t add a new listing. When you click on ‘Save’ at the submit listing page, nothing happens. Also, when I try to create a listing on the backend it takes me to the page as the image attached.
Can you please help me in solving this today? I have to go back to working normally 🙁
