    Hi there,

    My Hide Text Field on my search form is not working. I do not want the text field to appear but checking and unchecking this option does nothing. Also, do you know how to remove the “search” on the category drop down on the search form please as I do not need this function.

    Is there a way to insert the search form on a page without using it with the “Hero section” or without using the “html code”. I would like to use the form on separate pages with a category filter already applied (i.e. we have therapists that work on horses (horses being one of our categories) – on the horses page I would like users to be able to search just using location.

    Looking forward to your response.

    Hello, would you give me more details about this? Some screenshots will be helpful.

    Thank you.

    Hi there,

    Thank you for getting back to me. I attach a screenshot of the form with the Hide Text Field selected but it is still showing. The search on the categories dropdown is now not there so thats good.

    Also, wondered about inserting the search form on other pages but not in the hero section – would I need to insert html code for the form to be able to do this?

    Thanks.

    Hello, you should check what’s your default listing type post from Settings -> CityBook Add-Ons -> Submit tab: http://prntscr.com/odi85h ( which will be used for forms ).
    Then you can easily customize filter forms from the listing type post: http://prntscr.com/odi968

    Great, thank you. That worked. Do you know how I remove the search option from the categories please? See screenshot.

    Just remove elements from the builder.

    I managed to do this using some custom css but could not see where to remove the search element from the builder.

    1 – Delete column and its elements inside: http://prntscr.com/odz145

    2 – Edit column width: http://prntscr.com/odz1qq

    Thank you for your reply. It wasn’t the whole categories box I wanted removing though just the search box within it.

    Add the code bellow to Appearance -> Customize -> Additional Code field

    .nice-select .nice-select-search-box {
       display: none;
    }
    .nice-select .list {
       padding-top: 10px;
    }
