    Hi there,

We are creating a directory listing (quite a simple one) where a therapist can create their own listing and then be able to edit it. I would just like your expertise please in figuring out how this will work with Citybook.

A new user goes in and signs up to one of our plans and becomes a lister. They can then login and edit their listing. Their plan will expire after a year.

So from the backend viewpoint are they then a Listing Author in the Users section? Where do “Members” come into it and what is their role?

Also, do you know how I can edit/add to the logged in drop down menu please?

Your help would be greatly appreciated.

–> Listers are wordpress users with Listing Author role. Who can add or edit their listings. While members is for Our Team section: http://prntscr.com/obxjhb

Also, do you know how I can edit/add to the logged in drop down menu please?

–> You have to edit it from CityBook Add-Ons .php file: http://prntscr.com/obxjz5 ( citybook_addons_login_logout_sc function )

Thanks again for your help. So can a user buy a membership, for example, then be able to add their listing and then go in and edit it?

Thank you. We are getting there. Now Administrator users can add a listing but Subscribers and Listing Authors are not getting that option and it is just redirecting to the home page instead of the submit listing page. I cannot see where I would set this?

Check Free User Submit Page option from Settings -> CityBook Add-Ons -> Membership tab.

You should select Pricing Tables page or your custom page ( which showing how user can submit a listing )

Unless a user is an Administrator then they cannot Add a Listing (at the moment on my site). If I change a user role to Listing Author then they click on Add Listing then it just directs them back to the page they were already on. The Free User Submit Page is set to Default Behaviour.

Users have to buy a membership plan (even free plan) to submit listing. So you can set Free User Submit Page option to Pricing Tables page on Settings -> CityBook Add-Ons -> Membership tab: http://prntscr.com/odz9w7
So not subscribed membership will be redirected to the pricing tables page to buy a plan.

So I tested … a new user clicked on our free plan in pricing-tables. Registered successfully, then clicked on the add listing from the user drop down and it just refreshes the page. If I log in as Administrator and click on my add listing from the user drop down I get the submit listing page. Do I have a setting wrong somewhere? The Membership tab Free User Submit page is set to Pricing Tables.
